How the math works

With five coins in, the royal normally pays 800-for-1 (4,000 coins). A progressive replaces that with the meter. A royal arrives about once per 40,000 hands with optimal play, so every extra 1,000 coins on the meter adds roughly 0.5% to the game's long-run return. The break-even meter is where the extra royal value exactly cancels the paytable's house edge:

break-even $ = denom × (4000 + (100% − base return) × 5 × royal cycle)

Honesty notes: break-even ≠ easy money — the value is concentrated in a 1-in-40,000 jackpot, so short-term results are brutal (you will usually lose while "playing a 100% game").
