Should We Get the Monorail While Staying at Luxor?

While the monorail is a convenient option for traveling along the east side of the Strip, it does not directly connect to Luxor, which is located on the west side. Consider other transportation methods for better access to your hotel and nearby attractions.

Monorail Overview

The Las Vegas Monorail runs from MGM Grand to Sahara along the east side of the Strip. It is fast and can be a good option for getting to certain east-side resorts and attractions, but it does not reach the airport or the Luxor directly.

Getting to Luxor

Since Luxor is located on the west side of the Strip, you would need to walk from the nearest monorail station (MGM Grand) to reach your hotel, which can be a considerable distance. Walking the Strip is common, but the heat and distances can be challenging, especially in the summer.

Alternative Transportation

For better access to Luxor and other nearby attractions, consider using rideshare services (Uber/Lyft), taxis, or the Deuce bus, which runs the length of the Strip and to Downtown. These options provide more direct routes to your hotel.
