Where is Las Vegas?
Geography of Las Vegas
Las Vegas Boulevard, or 'the Strip,' is approximately 4 miles long and is home to many of the city's famous casino-resorts. It is situated in unincorporated Clark County, specifically in the Paradise area, rather than within the City of Las Vegas itself. The Strip is longer than it appears, and walking from one end to the other can take a couple of hours due to the distances between resorts.
In addition to the Strip, there are other notable areas in Las Vegas, including Downtown/Fremont Street, which is known for its older, more affordable casinos and attractions, and Off-Strip locations like Chinatown, which offer local dining and entertainment options.
Accessibility
Las Vegas is easily accessible via Harry Reid International Airport, located just a few miles from the Strip. Visitors can use rideshare services, taxis, shuttles, or hotel limousines to reach their destinations. The Strip is also pedestrian-friendly, although distances can be deceptive, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
