Best Way to Get Up and Down the Strip
Walking
Walking the Strip is common, but be prepared for the distances as the resorts are deceptively far apart. Comfortable shoes and hydration are essential, especially in the heat. Pedestrian bridges are available to cross major intersections safely.
Public Transportation
The Deuce is a double-decker bus that runs the length of the Strip and connects to Downtown, providing a budget-friendly option, though it can be slow due to traffic. The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip, offering a faster option between select resorts, but it does not reach the airport.
Rideshare and Taxis
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are convenient for getting around, with designated pickup areas. Taxis are also available, but be cautious of the 'long-haul' scam; ask the driver to take the freeway or tunnel route for the quickest trip.
Rental Cars
Most visitors staying on the Strip do not need a rental car, as parking fees apply at most resorts. Rental cars are more useful for day trips to attractions outside the city.
