Transportation Options

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is conveniently located about 1.5 to 5 miles from the Strip, with several options for getting to your hotel, including rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, taxis, shuttles, or hotel limousines. Taxis operate on a metered basis, and it's advisable to ask for the freeway route to avoid unnecessary detours.

For getting around the Strip, the Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side, connecting key resorts but does not reach the airport. The Deuce is a public bus service that runs the length of the Strip and to Downtown, offering a budget-friendly option, although it can be slower due to traffic. The SDX (Strip & Downtown Express) is a faster alternative with fewer stops.

Walking the Strip

Walking is a popular way to explore the Strip, but be prepared for the distances involved. The Strip is longer than it appears, and walking from one end to the other can take a couple of hours. Comfortable shoes and hydration are essential, especially in the heat. Pedestrian bridges are available to cross major intersections safely.

Rental Cars

While most visitors staying on the Strip do not need a rental car, it can be useful for day trips to attractions like the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam. Keep in mind that resorts often charge for parking, so factor that into your budget if you decide to rent.
